Broadcasting & Streaming Policy
BBS Network, Inc.
Overview
BBS Network, Inc. permits re-streaming of live programming from various broadcasting platforms including FM/AM stations, podcasting networks, and internet radio streamers.
Live Re-Streaming Permission
Live re-streaming is allowed by notifying BBS Network through email contact. Broadcasters simply need to inform the company they are carrying the programming.
Archives & Re-Broadcasting Restrictions
Live feed carriage does not extend to archived content redistribution. Re-broadcasting program archives without permission, selling program archives, or using promotional materials created from the archives is prohibited. However, carrying RSS/XML feeds on websites is permitted without downloading audio files. Talk show archives recorded by BBS Network cannot be used without express written permission, though linking to archives is allowed.
Music & Copyright Compliance
BBS Network operates as a fully reporting corporation, permitting music use during live broadcasts even with performing rights organizations (ASCAP, SESAC, BMI). However, musical content must be removed from final syndicated podcasts unless owner permission is obtained. You must first obtain legal consent from the owner for any copyrighted material.
Audio Quality Standards
Background noise and broadcasting errors may remain in archived files. Audio quality depends significantly on host equipment including microphone quality, connectivity, and telephony software rather than BBS filtering capabilities.
Policy Modifications
BBS Network reserves the right to make changes to this policy as deemed necessary by management.
